Full Battle Rattle

Full Battle Rattle is the full feature documentary of the final preparation of our troops just before deployment to Iraq.

 In a full Hollywood mock up village, in the middle of the desert with hundreds of actors and extras many from Iraq, our troops train in what at first looks like simple training then quickly turns almost too real.  With real looking causalities for the medical staff, real gunfights, ambushes, and the politics of trying to win the hearts and minds of the civilian population the troops and their leaders train in very realistic conditions.

My take is this pretty much a war neutral movie.  A necessary innovation to training and as a citizen I think money well spent, (if any money is well spent in any war!) for training that may save their lives and make a difference.   Complete with real life stories of the Iraqi civilians helping to train our troops, their real life dramas, those of troops and their families and finally the obligatory sad send off to war. One real bright spot in the movie are the Iraqi Sunni, Shia and Kurdish people are working together.  Proof that with a little respect and the reactionary radical Islamic fanatics taken out of the equation, they can build, govern and create a real society in that troubled part of the world. Directed By: Tony Gerber, Jesse Moss
