Saw It's Complicated in Reno today. This movie stars Meryl Streep as a very successful divorced businesswoman (has a fabulous bakery/coffeeshop in Santa Barbara.) Alec Baldwin plays her ex-husband who now has a 32 year old wife who wants a child by him (she has a child from an affair she had earlier in the marriage). Steve Martin (looking very good) is the architecture designing an extension to her gorgeous house.

The ex and Streep's character have an affair... the joke being having an affair with your married ex gets revenge on the eye-candy that stole him from her in the first place. And the architect and Streep have a budding friendship that could easily grow into something more. The ex desperately wants to get back with Streep and she, very sensibly, has doubts. Streep just wants to see if there is anything left from the marriage.

The movie is quite predictably funny when Streep gets together with her women friends to discuss relationships at 50-something and when her son-in-law to be spots the couple at a posh Santa Barbara hotel.

This is a cute movie good for a Xmas/New Years week day. You'll laugh a lot. The movie is nothing special but is good fun.
